Fortune Island covers 27 hectares of land in the province of Batangas. The other side of the island lies a 20 meter stretch of pristine white sand and an acropolis with Grecian pillars and statues.
The island is the site of shipwreck of the galleon San Diego that sunk in 1600. They had reproduced a ship similar to the galleon San Diego that served as a restaurant which is now destroyed by previous typhoons.

The island was an island resort club with complete features and amenities. It is no longer operational.
We camped out in the island with no water and electricity. Ooops! before I forget no bathroom / toilet / comfort room. I'm pretty sure with 27 hectares covered by island each of us will have a space to comfort in times of call of nature. However, mobile networks are available in the island that includes Internet connection for instant update on your social networking sites!
The following day we had trekked up to the island's light house about 25 to 30 mins with the only guide "just follow the blue rope" as told by our tour coordinator.
As we continued to ascend the blue rope was gone in the middle of our trek. Although a black water pipe became visible that we used as guide to the peak of Fortune Island's Light House!
We really enjoyed the white sand beach, the trek, and most of all the acropolis with Grecian pillars and statues in the island.
